Alfred first saw Sheila’s smile through a simple Twitter photo. It was June 9, 2019, when curiosity and admiration compelled him to send a message. They were schoolmates at Bulacan State University — Alfred, a graduating student, and Sheila, a bright-eyed sophomore still navigating the excitement of college life.
Their conversations continued until chatting every day became their new normal. Weeks later, Alfred asked if they could meet in person. It was July 27, 2019. Sheila had errands at school, but graciously agreed to his invitation for coffee. What started as casual chats over iced lattes soon grew into something deeper.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months. They exchanged stories, dreams, and gentle teasing. The bond between them only grew stronger. And on November 9, 2019, Alfred asked if Sheila could be his girlfriend. Her answer was light-hearted but sincere: “Why not?”
